New biological approaches to hair health
Part of the answer lies at the heart of the hair follicle: dermal papilla miniaturization, scalp ageing... all biological mechanisms that gradually impair the quality of the hair fiber produced over time.
Understanding these mechanisms means being able to act upstream, where healthy hair truly begins.
This is precisely the approach behind two active ingredients developed by CODIF TN. The first targets dermal papilla vitality, while the second promotes scalp longevity to help maintain an environment conducive to visibly denser, stronger hair.
Located at the base of the hair bulb, the dermal papilla nourishes and stimulates hair growth. It plays a central role in hair health, notably through the secretion of a key growth factor: FGF7 (Fibroblast Growth Factor 7).
This growth factor orchestrates communication between the dermal papilla and hair follicle cells. It regulates the hair cycle by coordinating the anagen (growth) and telogen (resting) phases, while contributing to the formation of high-quality hair fibers.
To support this biological activity, CODIF TN has developed PDRN Phycopeptide, a second-generation biotechnological active ingredient obtained through the enzymatic hydrolysis of Chlorella vulgaris. It combines a low-molecular-weight plant-derived PDRN with 2,434 phycopeptides, a unique combination designed to stimulate the skin's natural cellular regeneration mechanisms.
Already recognized for its performance in skincare,PDRN Phycopeptide, is now revealing its full potential in hair care. Tested in vitro at 2%, it increased FGF7 expression by 268%, confirming its ability to revitalize the dermal papilla and support the biological mechanisms involved in hair growth.
Over time, the scalp is exposed to oxidative stress, micro-inflammation and environmental aggressors, all of which directly affect the quality of the hair fiber produced.
These processes accelerate the biological ageing of the scalp and progressively impair its essential functions: regeneration mechanisms slow down, hair fiber quality declines, and hair may lose thickness, strength and visible density.
To address these challenges, CODIF TN has developed Phormiskin Bioprotech G, an active ingredient based on Blue Exosome technology. These nanosized biological messengers derived from microalgae deliver signals that stimulate the scalp's natural defence, repair and beneficial cell communication mechanisms.
At the heart of this technology is thioredoxin, an antioxidant protein naturally present in Blue Exosomes. It helps protect cells against oxidative stress while preserving an optimal environment for proper cellular function. The result is hair that appears thicker, stronger and denser.
Already recognized for its efficacy in skincare,Phormiskin Bioprotech G is now extending its benefits to hair care.
By combining PDRN Phycopeptide and Phormiskin Bioprotech G , CODIF TN offers a comprehensive approach to hair health.
– PDRN Phycopeptide acts at the heart of the follicle by revitalizing the dermal papilla and supporting healthy hair growth.
– Phormiskin Bioprotech G strengthens scalp resilience, helping maintain an optimal environment for the production of high-quality hair fibers.
Together, these two active ingredients simultaneously target two essential biological drivers of healthy hair: follicle vitality and scalp longevity.
